Verification
Control, metrics, and identity badges
Every listing shows three verification indicators. They help buyers understand what Social Broker has checked before a deal starts.
Control verified
Proof the seller owns and can transfer the account.
Before a listing goes live, the seller completes a proof-of-control challenge. They post a unique verification token on the account or complete a platform-specific check we issue.
Our review confirms the token appears on the correct account and that the seller has administrative access. Listings without control verification stay in draft or are rejected.
Metrics verified
Follower counts and engagement aligned with what buyers see.
Sellers declare metrics such as follower count, engagement rate, and optional revenue. Where we can, we cross-check declared numbers against platform data or seller-provided evidence.
A metrics badge means the listing data passed our review at publish time. Buyers should still review the listing detail page and ask questions before making an offer.
Seller KYC verified
Identity confirmed before deal funds move.
Both buyer and seller complete know-your-customer (KYC) verification through Escrow.com before any payment is funded. Social Broker stores verification status only, not identity documents.
The seller KYC badge on a listing indicates the seller passed identity review required for marketplace participation. Deal-level KYC for both parties still applies when an offer is accepted.
Proof of control in practice
When a seller creates a listing, they request a proof challenge from the sell flow. We issue a unique token and instructions for posting it on the account. After the seller completes the step, our system verifies the token and marks control as verified on the listing.
Control verification reduces impersonation and hijacked listings. It does not guarantee future platform enforcement actions. Buyers should still complete their own due diligence before funding escrow.
